Narrabri Rugby Club’s women’s sevens side played for the first time in three weeks on Saturday and made a stylish return with a victory at the Bingara gala day.

In their first game of the day, the Blue Boars downed the Barraba-Bingara Ramrats 25-5.

Martha Harvey dominated the opposition to finish with all 25 points after crossing for five tries.

Martha scored another try in the side’s second match of the day against Inverell which Zoe Tomlinson converted.

The side fought hard against its higher-ranked opponent but went down 10-7 in that contest.

The Blue Boars are currently ranked fourth on the five-team ladder.

This Saturday they will challenge first-placed Pirates and second-placed Inverell at the Tamworth gala day.

All sides will have a bye in round 17 before Narrabri hosts the final gala day of the season on Saturday, August 14, in the 18th and final round of the Central North Rugby Union season.
