Narrabri Women’s Bowling Club’s 2021 season Consistency Singles competition got underway last Thursday at Narrabri Sporties.
Two matches were played that day and another was contested on Saturday.
All three took place on the John McNamara Owen Campey Green.
On Thursday, Glennis Godden defeated Cecile 150-128 while Rhonda Welchman downed Kay Carolan 150-126.
A third match was scheduled to be played, however, Eva Sadler received a forfeit from Dawn Armstrong.
On Saturday, Lorraine Scott defeated Janet Coleman in a very close game.
Scott had to give Janet a 12-point start. The score was 49-all after 11 ends. Both players played great consistency bowls with the final score finishing 155-143 to Scott after 31 ends.
Social bowls was also played last Thursday.
Olwyn Campey and Mary Wheeler defeated Jan Etheridge and Berice Eather 25-10.
Janet Coleman played swinging lead and with Trish Allison and Di Chessells defeated Rhonda Fitzgerald and Lyn Tuckey 24-13.
There will be no bowls played on Thursday, August 19, or Saturday, August 28, due to the COVID-19 state lockdown.

Carol Demamiel v Lorraine Scott (marker – Rhonda Welchman).
