Melbourne Cup in Boggabri was celebrated at the Boggabri RSL Club and the John Prior Multi Purpose Service by a small but excited crowd.
The female residents at the MPS made fascinators to wear during lunch and then all residents watched the race.
Patrons at the Boggabri RSL Club played bingo on Tuesday morning, enjoyed a smorgasbord lunch with the general community and then watched the race.
Joanne Tailby, Helen Martin, Kate Gough and Fran Jackson won the prizes at the RSL for their fashions and headwear.
