Narrabri Rugby Club has marked the end of the 2026 season with its annual presentation night. A black-tie celebration was held at the Tourist Hotel with the Blue Boars gathering to acknowledge individual, team and club success.   The Blue Boars had a successful year, claiming its first reserve grade title in almost 10 years with an emphatic win against Moree.   The women’s 10s team claimed the minor premiership, however lost to Tamworth Pirates in a nail-biting grand final.   First grade also played finals football this year and finished the preliminary season in third place on 70 points, […]

The Narrabri Elevens Football Club has secured a home grand final, beating Moree Services FC 4–1 on the weekend.   Elevens’ Rowan Keeler found the back of the net three times and Jordan Hannaford also scored a goal for the Narrabri side.   Goalkeeper Will McClymont was praised for saving two penalty kicks and was awarded players’ player for his great efforts.   Local photographer Bruce Malcolm captured these brilliant action photos of a game that was thoroughly enjoyed by the Gately Field crowd.   The team will now have a well-deserved weekend off before the grand finals.
