Kinstler wins Wednesday stableford on a countback

IT was another busy week of competition at the Narrabri Golfie, with good fields taking part in stableford events across the previous week. Neil Kinstler won Wednesday’s 9-hole Stableford Medley, held on 8 July, with 17 points on a countback from Sally Boyle, who also finished on 17 points. In the Ladies 18-hole Stableford, Ingrid Moulds claimed the win with 37 points on a countback from Robin Ford, who also scored 37 points. Cindy Neil claims consistency singles title

CINDY Neil has been crowned the 2025–26 consistency singles champion after a hard-fought victory over Helen Woodward in a gripping final. Giving Woodward a six-point start, Neil steadily worked her way back into the contest, drawing level at 27-all by the eighth end. The match remained close throughout, with neither player able to establish a decisive advantage. The turning point came on the 17th end when Woodward sent a bowl out of bounds, conceding four shots to leave Neil ahead 85-75. Neil maintained her composure over the closing stages to secure the championship with a 150-139 victory after 30 ends. […]

Narrabri FC players bounce back, hitting their stride to claim a win over Wee Waa United

NARRABRI FC secured a much-needed 8-1 win over Wee Waa United at Hogan Oval on the weekend as the team pursues third position on the Namoi Soccer League ladder. Narrabri’s goals came from Charlie Butler and Hamish Nalder, who both scored twice, along with Judah Stuart, Sital Nepal, Blake Stride and Jakson Dowdell, who each added one to the impressive tally. Wee Waa’s goal was scored by Steve Phelps. Narrabri FC’s Blake Stride was awarded the Dominos Narrabri Player of the Match for a strong all-round performance and Tom Webster received Players’ Player.

Stellar team performance by Narrabri Elevens

NARRABRI Elevens Football Club delivered a stellar performance on Saturday 4 July, beating Narrabri FC 6-0 at Hogan Oval under the lights. “A great start to the game with a few early goals, we dropped off a little bit towards half-time,” said Narrabri Elevens coach Rowan Keeler.
